About the Job

Our company is looking for an entry-level Accounting Assistant to perform clerical duties. The successful candidate will work closely with the Controller and Billing Manager to maintain a comprehensive financial filing system for our firm.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Accounting
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Ajera Software is a plus
  • Superior analytical, quantitative, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail and an innovative mindset
  • Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency to meet business demands
  • Able to work autonomously with little to no oversight

Responsibilities

  • Generate statements/letters for Accounts Receivable Aging accounts
  • Liaise with consultants to verify accuracy of invoices, track missing invoices, payments, respond to requests, etc
  • Request and manage document files in hard copy and electronic form – project contracts, project insurance certificates, invoices, etc.
  • Prepare monthly project print audit
  • Enter timesheets monthly for Partners & ensure employee timesheets are submitted on time
  • Compile data and prepare a variety of reports
  • Recommends actions to resolve discrepancies
  • Investigate questionable data
  • Assist in other admin tasks
