Handel Architects San Francisco is looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable administrative assistant to provide support for our mid-size office in downtown San Francisco. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, outgoing and able to maintain organization amidst multiple tasks in a fast-paced, creative environment.

We are an award-winning, internationally-recognized architecture and interior design firm dedicated to bringing excellence to urban environments. Our locations in San Francisco, New York, Boston, and Hong Kong allow us to share ideas and design concepts across our network of offices.

Hours are 8:30-5:30 with 1-hour lunch, Monday-Thursday. This would be an in-person role in our San Francisco office.


  • 2+ years of relevant experience working in a professional office
  • Outgoing warm, friendly, and easy to work with
  • Professional verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Proficient knowledge of basic office equipment
  • Attention to detail and follow-through on tasks
  • Ability to think creatively, learn quickly and adapt to changing needs of environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Interest in design, architecture and creative fields a plus!

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing reception and administrative support to the entire office, primarily in telephone reception, greeting visitors, receiving and posting mail, filing and general office management.
  • Preparing overnight and messenger shipments, and coordinating deliveries.
  • Coordinating internal project meetings, and scheduling educational and product presentations from vendors.
  • Maintaining office database with contact and project information.
  • Ordering office supplies and maintenance of inventory.
  • Assisting in planning office events and completing special projects as assigned.
