Our San Francisco Interior Design Studio hand-crafts environments that enable our clients to develop personal and long-lasting relationships with their interior spaces

Our San Francisco Studio is in search of an Interior Architect with 7+ years of experience and strong technical skills, who is adept at conceiving, developing and a wide range of multi-family residential projects. You will work with and report to our Director of Interiors to implement design concepts, helping take projects from the storyboard to completion. As a team member, you will need to be flexible, open-minded, and willing to work on concurrent projects. Our practice encourages open design dialogue and participation among all our team members to create a fluid and collaborative environment.

Please be advised that this will be a full-time, in-person position, with the possibility for a remote start.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience with all phases of interior and architectural projects; medium to large scale multi-family experience required
  • Professional degree in architecture
  • CA license highly preferred
  • Knowledge of CA residential building code required
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent graphic presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and technical capability
  • Revit and AutoCAD proficiency
  • Graphic layout experience required (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • 3-D modeling and rendering experience required (Rhino, Grasshopper, Sketchup, VRay)
  • Interior Finish Specification writing (Excel schedule required, SpecSources or SPEXX preferred).
  • Demonstrated production of an Interior Design Drawing Construction Set
  • Construction administration and interior installation experience required, including site supervision, responding to RFIs, reviewing control samples and shop drawings, and completing punch list.

Responsibilities

  • • Development of a project through all phases of design: concept, schematic, design development, construction documentation and construction administration
  • • Ensure design concepts are safe, functional, meet applicable building codes, client needs and budget constraints
  • • Produce design presentations, including rendered plans and elevations
  • • Produce and manage construction drawing sets including: floor, finish, furniture, power and communication and reflected ceiling plans, sections, elevations, interior details for millwork and interior installations, interior finish specifications and lighting designs
  • • Produce interior selections and full specifications: finish, hardware, lighting, appliance & plumbing
  • • Lead and coordinate consultant teams including: MEP, SE, Lighting, Landscape, A/V, vendors and contractors
  • • Direct and mentor junior staff
