Our San Francisco office is currently looking for a part-time IT intern who can provide dedicated support to our staff. Our ideal candidate would be working towards a degree in the technology field and demonstrates a general interest in the architecture and design industry. Important qualities include the ability to perform the required tasks and projects independently, as well as strong interpersonal skills, as this role will assist our users on a daily basis. Their performance will be overseen by local office leadership and as well the IT Manager located at Handel Architects headquarters in New York City. We offer the ability to gain hands-on experience in an IT position, a flexible schedule for students and competitive compensation.

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master’s program in Computer Science or a related field
  • Knowledge of basic PC components
  • Ability to work efficiently and in an organized manner
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Communicate effectively and clearly, both verbally and in written form
  • Friendly and optimistic disposition, able to interface with all levels of staff members


  • Assist in helping users troubleshoot issues in software including: Windows 10, Office365, Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Along with production software such as: AutoCAD 2017-2019, Revit 2017-2021, Rhino 6-7
  • MS Active Directory tasks such as user account creation, password resets, provide users access to projects
  • FTP site creation and monitoring for projects
  • Support printers and large format plotters and copiers
  • Provide support of mobile devices such as Apple IOS, Android phones and tablets
  • Conference Room technology setup and maintenance including displays, phones and software support for conferencing programs such as GoToMeeting and Teams
  • Setup new workstations, as needed
  • Roll out workstations with the company’s custom image
  • Keep track and log technology equipment for inventory purposes
  • Update technical documentation and procedures
