Job Description

Handel Architects is an award-winning, internationally recognized, architecture and interior design firm dedicated to bringing excellence to urban environments. Our locations in San Francisco, New York, Boston and Hong Kong allow us to share ideas and design concepts across our network of offices.

Our San Francisco office is looking for smart, energetic, responsible candidates who can work effectively in a team environment, adept at solving problems creating and overseeing construction documents, coordinating with project teams, and interfacing with consultants and construction teams. As a Project Architect/Manager, you will be involved in the design and management of a comprehensive building project from inception to completion. On larger projects, you will be a key member of a collaborative team; and on smaller projects you may independently manage all aspects of a project. Strong organization skills are essential to balance multiple projects at different stages in the development process, from feasibility studies and concept design, to construction documentation and administration. The role is suited for an articulate designer with practical knowledge of local planning and building codes. As a strategic communicator and initiator, you will represent the firm to our clients, consultants, contractors, and industry peers, as well as respond to local government agencies during design review and entitlement processes.
