About the Job

Our New York office is looking for an enthusiastic receptionist to collaborate on building a company culture that’s welcoming, innovative, and fun! You will be part of a dynamic team that supports our office in an ever-changing world. In addition to greeting employees and guests in the office and on the phone, you will be the go-to resource for everyday needs, information, and office culture liaison.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct guests as they enter
  • Answer phones, transfer calls to appropriate parties; relay messages
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Schedule messenger service
  • Tidy and maintain the reception desk, assist in maintaining the cleanliness of conference rooms, supply closets and kitchen
  • Re-stock and refill all office supplies (notebooks, note pads, trace paper, folders, tape dispensers, staplers, etc.)
  • Routinely check inventory of copy room and order necessary supplies (toner, special inks, plotter paper and special paper)
  • Routinely check kitchen pantry supplies (coffee, tea snacks, paper towels, etc.) and refill/rebrew as necessary
  • Support lunches/coordinate catering for internal office events. Lead set up and break down
  • Coordinate conference room scheduling, meeting arrangements, and catering needs
  • Coordinate with building office via ‘Aware Manager’ for confirming office visitors/guests, ordering disposal bins, facility repairs/maintenance, and submitting vendor COIs as needed
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the firm's Partners and senior staff
  • Assist the People Operations Team with general administrative assignments, coordination of training, new hire orientation, employee appreciation, and special events

Attributes & Skills

  • Is dependable, organized and friendly with a strong work ethic
  • Has good typing and word processing skills; familiarity and skill with Word and Excel
  • Is interested in the world of art, architecture, construction and/or interior design
  • Enjoys learning about new restaurants and events in NYC, and hosting and event coordination in and out of the office
  • Holds a college degree

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $45,000 - $55,000 commensurate with experience

Please note: this is an on-site position that requires the individual to be in the office Monday-Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm
