    Rennain Garnes

    Senior Associate

    Rennain Garnes is a Senior Associate at Handel Architects, which he joined in 2006. His work includes residential, hospitality, laboratory, and mixed-use projects in cities globally. Current work includes serving as Project Manager for 950 Market Street Hotel & Residences in downtown San Francisco; the 600,000 sq.ft. project occupies the majority of a triangular block, which it shares with the historic Warfield Theater.

    Previous work includes serving as Project Architect for 340 Fremont Street, a 348-unit residential tower in the Rincon Hill district of San Francisco; Technical Coordinator for NEMA, a 754-unit multi-building residential complex in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood; and Technical Coordinator for the Rosewood Abu Dhabi, a 36-story building with 189 hotel keys and 137 serviced apartments.

    Prior to joining Handel Architects, Mr. Garnes worked at both Michael Willis Architects and at SOM, both in San Francisco. His work there included campus design for UC Merced and for Stanford University. He also has significant experience in laboratory design, including Water Treatment Plants and Laboratories, and Telecommunications Facilities.

    Mr. Garnes received his Bachelor of Architecture from California College of the Arts.
