Seminar "Green Buildings: Real Estate Development in the Age of Climate Mobilization" to be Held at NYU's School of Professional Studies September 24.

Principal Deborah Moelis will be joined by representatives of a variety of government, private development, architecture, and engineering firms to discuss the implications of the Climate Mobilization Act. Stuart Brodsky, Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of the Center for Sustainable Built Environment for NYUSPS's Schack Institute of Real Estate will be moderating.

"New York City’s Climate Mobilization Act promises to set targets and deadlines for the adoption of low-carbon climate strategies into real estate development. The details and implications of this sweeping legislation are continuing to be clarified. Combined with the aggressive carbon footprint targets, the evolving details of the act have significant potential to impact the design, development, and occupant relations in NYC’s real estate market, with potential for further adoption by other jurisdictions. Attendees of this seminar will learn about the act’s goals, requirements on developers, and how real estate’s leaders in sustainability, and their supply chain, are gearing up to respond."
