The architecture industry has a diversity problem. Along with a collection of industry leaders, we've been supporting a pilot program developed by the USC School of Architecture to provide a pathway for students of all identities to enter the design profession. We hope this can serve as a model for schools across the country.
Through the USC A-Lab Development Program, students will learn the foundations of architectural design in a high school course that will count for one USC course credit. Supplementing this project-based instruction will be a course module on professional development and college preparation.
