Handel Architects' Intercontinental Hotel is the central tower of a new mixed-use development including two residential towers and a church.

We're proud to announce our newest hotel project, a 206-key Intercontinental located in Taichung. The hotel sits along the "greenbelt," a linear park that has become an art garden of both formal and informal uses. The tower itself is designed to embrace this greenspace, with an open, glassy podium that brings light into function spaces that are frequently dark boxes. Above, a grid pattern grows in scale as it rises, ending in a "sky window" that frames the skyline.
