530 Park Avenue Renovation
Handel Architects renovated and restored 530 Park Avenue, converting many of the units to luxury condos.
Originally completed in 1941, 530 Park Avenue in Manhattan was renovated and restored. 48 of the building’s 139 units were re-conceived and converted from apartments to condos, with some existing units combined to create larger apartments.
New building amenities were added, including a library, sitting room, gym, playroom, laundry facility, tenant storage and bike room.
Exterior work included a garden, landscaped connection to Park Avenue, and the addition of a new limestone base and wrought iron grillwork. The design of the limestone base and architectural grilles are a contemporary reflection of the building’s Park Avenue context.
