The new Four Seasons Private Residences 706 Mission includes a 43-story residential tower connected to the adjacent Aronson Building, an historic building that was restored and rehabilitated as part of the project. The building now houses 42 luxury residential units as well as space for the new Mexican Museum.

The 10-story Aronson building was originally designed by San Francisco architecture firm Hemenway & Millerbuilt and built by Abraham Aronson in 1903. The building survived both the 1906 earthquake & fire and the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, and stands today looking much as it did in 1906. It is significant for its design which is recognized as the most elaborate design in the Chicago School style.

Working with Page & Turnbull, Handel Architects renovated and restored the building, converting levels two through four to space for the new Mexican Museum, and levels five through ten to loft residences. The ground level now houses the residential lobby, as well as retail space.
