The Ritz-Carlton Downtown is located on 22nd Street in Northwest Washington, D.C., in a mixed-use neighborhood of institutional, commercial, and residential buildings. The eleven-story, 300-room hotel also includes 162 residential units, two restaurants, a 100,000 sq. ft. sports facility, and ground-floor retail. The project also includes the largest luxury ballroom in Washington, D.C., at over 10,000 sq. ft.

A porte-cochere on 22nd Street contains both hotel and sports club access. A 35,000 sq. ft. landscaped courtyard cascades from the fifth floor to grade, providing a quiet central focus for the rooms above. Hotel back-of-house and parking are below grade.
