The interiors at Union House are based on the refined elegance of a luxury European hotel.

Union House is a boutique condominium building on the border of the Pacific Heights and Russian Hill neighborhoods in San Francisco. The project includes 41 luxury residences and a variety of amenities including a roof deck with stunning views. The building's exterior draws inspiration from the rich material palette of Pacific Heights and Russian Hill, with warm colored precast concrete combined with bronze colored panels. The entranceway itself was designed to create a feeling of grandeur, and has been subtly lit from a bronze canopy that extends out and over the sidewalk. Abundant glass allows the lobby chandelier to act as a beacon when viewed from the outside.

Interiors were designed to relate to the understated elegance of the building, while offering residents the warmth and tranquility of home. The lobby experience recreates the feeling of stepping inside the quiet grandeur of a European luxury hotel: the double-height space is framed in panels of fumed eucalyptus, some of which are wrapped in off-white leather. Flooring is white Portuguese Limestone with an inlay of black Belgian Limestone, and the ceiling is trimmed with a painted tiered wood molding. An expansive mural has been crafted by Parisian artist Atelier Premiere.

Residents can relax in a private sitting area in front of a fireplace of Anatolian Grey marble with a brushed brass detail surround. Comfortable, modern furniture is paired with 7-inch plank oak flooring. The lobby desk is Italian dark Arabesco Orobico marble with an antique brass inlay.

Upstairs, residences have spacious layouts with high ceilings and over-sized casement windows.

Kitchens are equipped with Miele appliances, and the island is of Arabescato marble with double-frame panels finished in soft white lacquer. Cabinetry is by Sozo Studio in San Francisco and is a dark oak, and each door and drawer face is made with a thin frame and recessed center panel, a modern interpretation of a classic design detail.

Italian Carrera C marble clads the bathroom floors, walls and countertops.

A Victoria and Albert Vetrella II freestanding tub grounds the space, and all fixtures are Waterworks. The master-bath vanity is finished in white lacquer.
