Westin Sonata Place
The Westin Sonata Place uses monumental rectangular frames to define the skyline of Manila's Mandaluyong City.
The Westin Sonata Place Hotel & Residences is Westin's first mixed-use hotel and residential development in Southeast Asia. Located in Manila’s Ortigas Commercial District in Mandaluyong, the area is home to many multinational corporations, as well as condominium towers, bars and restaurants. The site is adjacent to the corporate headquarters of the San Miguel Corporation.
The composition of the development is broken down into three parts: a 50-story residential tower, a 31-story hotel tower, and a podium that physically and visually ties the two towers together. Both towers use the same architectural language, using glass and metal ribbon window systems, punctuated by solid balconies and knee walls to create rhythm within the building’s facade. Large rectangular frames define the upper portions of the towers, and light up at night to create a skyline presence.
The Westin Sonata Place Hotel & Residences includes 432 residential luxury residences, 345 hotel keys, and a variety of amenity spaces. The project is Green Globe certified and has a robust sustainability management plan in place, which can be viewed here.
