Zinfandel Wine Tower

Client Private
Location Napa, CA
Project Type Residential
Status Completed in 2011

The Zinfandel Wine Tower is connected to the land through its materiality and Earth-toned colors.

The Zinfandel Wine Tower is a 3-bedroom private retreat in Napa Valley, California. Sited among the vineyards with expansive views, the home’s defining architectural statement is a 32-foot high tower, which functions as both entryway and observation deck.

The home’s charcoal gray exterior connects it with the old grapevines and the hues of the earth, and the tower’s lime green stucco, layered with horizontal slats, represents the new growth of the vines. Chipped granite pathways and low stucco walls frame the house and grounds. The broad outdoor pavilion, with over 1,000 sq. ft. of space, has multiple levels and is interspersed with oaks.
