288 Pacific Praised by San Francisco Chronicle's John King

Review titled: "Well-crafted Jackson Square condos rich in design inspiration."

We're excited that our newest residential project 288 Pacific was given a rousing endorsement by John King, the San Francisco Chronicle architecture critic.

Instead of the arched mimicry on buildings added to Jackson Square in the early days of the historic district ā€” clumsy and quasi-historic at best ā€” 288 Pacific keeps things simple and strong, with emphatic right angles and well-defined depth.

A cynic would dismiss the success as a wealthy one-off. But the underlying design principles can be applied to projects across the development spectrum and in neighborhoods more modest than posh Jackson Square.

The reason 288 Pacific clicks is that Handel Architects and developer Grosvenor Americas paid close attention to their surroundings.
