Multi-Building Development Wins Prestigious Award.

The Urban Land Institute has awarded Essex Crossing the Global Award for Excellence, it's most prestigious award. We are proud to have designed the two largest projects in the development: The Essex, which includes mixed-income residences, a cinema, Essex Street Market, and the largest urban farm in Manhattan; and The Artisan, with mixed-income residences above an office podium. The jury appreciated that Essex Crossing represents a years-long community planning process that has strengthened an historic neighborhood and stands as a testament to how thoughtful public-private partnerships and placemaking can acknowledge past wrongs and revitalize a neighborhood.
