Why Passive House Dormitories Are Healthier and More Energy Efficient

Principal Deborah Moelis explains why Passive House is an ideal choice for dormitories and student residence halls.

Deborah Moelis AIA, CPHD hosted a series of webinars last week discussing the benefits of Passive House design and how it is integrated into Handel Architects’ dormitory work. Sharing case study analyses of The House at Cornell Tech, the world’s largest Passive House university building, and the design of a new 750-bed dormitory for the University of Toronto Scarborough, she demonstrated how each is setting a new bar for performance and healthy living.
