Long Dock Hotel
The Long Dock Hotel is designed to integrate into the natural landscape at the riverfront in Beacon.
This 166-key boutique hotel and conference center is situated on 25 acres of open space in Beacon, a small city about 60 miles north of New York City. The project was organized as part of the public-private partnership between the developer and Scenic Hudson Land Trust in Beacon.
The hotel was designed to cater to both weekday business guests and weekend spa users. A conference center offers 32,000 sq.ft. of ballrooms, meeting rooms, and pre-function space. A 12,000 sq.ft. spa and fitness center includes an indoor lap pool, weights, and aerobics rooms.
The project was designed to be modular, with each hotel room manufactured off-site and shipped to the site, ready for assembly. This approach offered a significant schedule and cost savings, while enabling better quality control through extensive shop fabrication.
