OZMA wins a Design Award of Honor from the Society of American Registered Architects New York

We are thrilled to share that OZMA has been honored by SARA NY for demonstrating design excellence in architectural interiors.

OZMA is a new multifamily residential development located in Washington, DC’s burgeoning NoMA neighborhood. In the midst of a bustling international city, OZMA stands out as a lush urban oasis. It offers residents a much-needed reprieve from the commotion and stress of city life, fully transporting them into a world of wonder and tranquility.

The interiors approach is characterized by unconventional geometries and bold material combinations, turning columns into set pieces, passageways into immersive art, and shared spaces into moments of discovery. The design evokes the allure and enchantment of the natural world, pairing organic textures and shapes with a rich palette of green gem tones reflecting the hues one might find on a forest walk. Walls and pathways do not follow a classic architectural order, instead gently bending and curving like a winding river or a trail through a thicket of trees. Taken together, each detail works in harmony to create a wholly immersive and distinct experience.
