We’re honored that Handel Architects’ first three buildings at the newly redeveloped Greenpoint Landing in Brooklyn have been awarded 2019 SARANY Design Awards!

The three buildings - 7 Bell Slip, 33 Eagle Street, and 5 Blue Slip – are all 100% permanently affordable. The buildings are a mix of brick and exposed steel, and include expansive casement windows, evoking the factory buildings of historic Greenpoint.

Located on 22-acres of waterfront in Brooklyn, Greenpoint Landing is transforming a formerly industrial area into a new multi-building development. The plan re-establishes the neighborhood’s waterfront connection through the creation of new streets, new housing, new waterfront parks, and a new public school, all designed to integrate into Greenpoint’s already thriving, diverse community.
