    Elga Killinger AIA

    Principal

    Elga Killinger AIA is a Principal at Handel Architects serving dual roles as Project Architect and Project Interior Designer for some of the firm’s most high-profile work including the Dream Downtown Hotel, an award winning 316-room boutique hotel near New York’s Meatpacking District and the flagship for the Dream Hotels brand. Elga joined the New York City office in 2004 after working for two years in the San Francisco office.

    Elga is currently leading Handel Architects' architectural and interior design teams on the design and construction administration of Inspir Carnegie Hill, a new luxury senior living development on the Upper East Side. She also oversees the construction of The Central at 5th, a high-rise timeshare hotel managed by Hilton in the Special Midtown District. Other recently completed projects include Enclave at the Cathedral, a 430-unit multifamily residential building in New York’s Morningside Heights. Elga was responsible for the interior design and furnishings of the amenity spaces and two model apartments at 170 Amsterdam, a multi-family residential building on New York’s Upper West Side.

    Before joining Handel Architects, Elga worked as a designer and Project Architect at Davis Brody Bond on a variety of institutional projects.

    Elga holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and a Master of Architecture with a Certificate in Historic Preservation both from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a registered architect in the State of New York and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
