Principal
Harriet Chang is a Principal in Handel Architects’ San Francisco office, which she joined in 2005. She recently served as Principal in Charge for 531 Bryant, a new six-story office development in San Francisco, as well a new multifamily project in Mountainview, California.
Previous projects include Four Seasons Private Residences 706 Mission, a 680,000 sq.ft. luxury high-rise residential and mixed use project in the Yerba Buena district of San Francisco; 301 Mission, a 1.2 million sq.ft. luxury high-rise residential project in the Transbay Terminal district of San Francisco; Rosewood Abu-Dhabi, a 1.1 million sq.ft. mixed-use hospitality project in Abu Dhabi; NEMA, a 1 million square foot apartment project in San Francisco; 340 Fremont, a 520,000 sq.ft. rental project in San Francisco; and The Austin Proper, a 615,000 sq. ft. mixed-use high rise project consisting of a 4.5-star hotel and luxury condominiums in Austin, Texas.
Prior to joining Handel Architects, Ms. Chang was a Designer and Job Captain working on a variety of projects at MBT Architecture in San Francisco, Yu Wang & Associates in Taipei, and Kaichuan Engineering in Taipei.
Ms. Chang received her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley and her Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a registered architect in California.
