    Krista Armstrong AIA

    Senior Associate

    Krista Armstrong is a Senior Associate at Handel Architects, which she joined in 1998. She has served as Project Architect and Project Manager for a number residential and hospitality projects in New York City.

    Current work includes serving as Project Manager for Hunters Point South, a residential development for the Gotham Organization on the Queens waterfront, which will be 80% affordable and include senior housing. She is also working on a multi-building residential project on Grand Street in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The project includes affordable residences and community facilities.

    Ms. Armstrong recently served as Project Architect for Fisher Brothers' 372-unit residential tower at 225 East 39th Street, which was completed in 2017. Called House 39, the tower offers luxury rentals with generous amenities. She previously served as Project Architect for RFR's renovation of a luxury residential building at 530 Park Avenue. Prior to that she completed 505 West 37th Street, an 860,000 sq. ft., 835-unit residential building in Manhattan’s Hudson Yards district. The project includes a 43-story tower and a 34-story tower, and includes 168 affordable units.

    Other notable work includes Arbor Condominiums, a mid-rise residential building in the Bronx comprising 127 units, and the Ritz-Carlton Downtown Hotel & Residences in Battery Park City.

    Ms. Armstrong received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Barnard College and her Master of Architecture from Rice University.
