Senior Associate

YoungJoo Kim is a Senior Associate at Handel Architects, which she joined in 2014. Her experience includes working on multifamily residential and mixed-use projects in New Jersey, New York, and Washington, DC, with expertise in unit planning, consultant coordination and BIM.

Currently, Ms. Kim is serving as Job Captain on 25 North Lex, a new 500-unit residential building for Greystar, which she has been involved in from concept design through construction administration. The project, which is wrapping up construction, creates one of the densest developments in the city of White Plains.

Previously, Ms. Kim served as Job Captain on 1800 Avenue Residences at Port Imperial, a luxury condominium building which recently started construction in Weehawken. She also served as Project Architect on The Greyson, a new 622-unit mixed-use residential and office building under construction in the Journal Square neighborhood of Jersey City. Other prior work includes The Artisan at Essex Crossing, a new 19-story residential tower rising above a 5-story commercial podium in Manhattan’s Lower East Side; 525 West 52nd Street, a 405-unit residential building in Hell’s Kitchen; and Watermark Court Square, a 165-unit residential building in Long Island City, Queens.

Ms. Kim holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from American University. She is a registered architect in the State of New York.
